Hospital has been one of the first 14 pilot hospitals in Fujian province responsible for standardized residency training since 1993 and one of the first 9 training bases in Fujian province for standardized residency training since 2001. In 2010 and 2013, 16 departments in the hospital together with Psychiatric base co-founded with Xiamen Mental health center have been approved as the Fujian standardized residency training bases according to a new evaluation system, including Internal medicine, Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Emergency, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Pathology, Stomatology, Rehabilitation Medicine, General family Medicine, etc. We are so proud to be the hospital covering the largest range of medical disciplines and number of residency trainees in Southwestern area in Fujian province.

Since 2010, following the regulations of bases for residency standards training, each base in hospital has designed training program for individual residency trainee and offered ideal conditions for studying and living, with a certain number of trainees awarded stipends. In the past 4 years, hospital has recruited 378 residency trainees of which 184 trainees have passed the qualification. Another 115 residency trainees are recruited in 2014.
